Show Up for Yourself: You’re Part of the Priority List Too
This week, I want to gently remind you of something we often forget when life gets busy: you matter, too.
Many of us are used to juggling everything—work, family, clients, responsibilities. We're constantly showing up for others. But how often are we truly showing up for ourselves?
We tell ourselves we’ll rest later, take a break next week, or finally focus on our own well-being after the next deadline. But that approach is what leads to burnout, resentment, and hitting an emotional or mental “brick wall” that’s far harder to recover from than simply building in moments of care along the way.
The truth is, you don’t need to drop everything or escape your responsibilities. You just need to carve out space—consistently—to recharge, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. Maybe that’s 10 minutes of quiet in the morning. Maybe it’s an hour at the gym, a walk with your phone off, or lunch that doesn’t involve multitasking.
Whatever it looks like for you, make it a must-do—because your energy fuels everything else you’re trying to hold together.
So here’s your challenge this week: Be as committed to showing up for yourself as you are for everyone else.
It’s not selfish. It’s essential.
