Productivity Shift: Track Your Time, Transform Your Focus

This week, I want to challenge you with something simple—but powerful—that completely changed the way I show up in my work: track your time.

I know… it sounds tedious. I used to think so too. In fact, when someone first suggested I write down everything I do during the workday, my first thought was, “Ugh, that sounds exhausting.”

But then I tried it—and it was a game changer.

For two weeks straight, I tracked my days with honesty and detail. Every meeting, every client call, every scroll break, every “quick task” that turned into a 45-minute sidetrack. And what I discovered was eye-opening: I wasn’t nearly as productive as I thought I was. I was busy, yes—but not always intentional.

The simple act of writing it all down showed me where my time was going… and where it was leaking.

It revealed:

  • How many tasks weren’t actually income-producing

  • How often I multitasked instead of focusing deeply

  • How easily I could get distracted without even realizing it

Once I became aware, everything shifted. I didn’t need to overhaul my systems or hustle harder—I just needed to realign my attention. And from that place, my productivity skyrocketed.

So here’s your challenge for the next two weeks:
Track your time.
Not to impress anyone. Not to report it to your boss or your team. Just for YOU.

Notice how you spend your minutes. What’s getting your energy? What’s getting your focus? Is it moving the needle—or draining your momentum?

Because awareness builds clarity. And clarity builds results.

Let’s stop being busy and start being on purpose. Your calendar is one of the clearest reflections of your priorities—let’s make sure it aligns with the outcomes you actually want.

This simple shift might be exactly what you need to create more results, with more ease, starting today.
